Low Carb Quark Bread

Recipe prepared using the Ultra Pro 1,8L from the February Sales Flyer.

Low Carb Quark Bread

You will need

  • 6 eggs
  • 450g quark
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 250g Oat Bran
  • 50g wheat bran
  • 1 package baking powder (2 full teaspoons)
  • Butter or olive oil to grease the ultra pro

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Using the paddle attachment of a stand mixer, beat the eggs, quark, and salt on medium speed.
  3. Add the oat and wheat bran and baking powder and beat again until you have a smooth, soft bread dough.
  4. Grease the ultra pro 1,8l with butter or olive oil and pour in the dough. Make it even using a silicon spatula.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 50 minutes until golden brown on top. You may also use a toothpick to check whether it is fully baked in the middle.
  6. Let slightly cool down and remove from the Ultra Pro. You can keep the bread on out Bread Venti-Smarts.

Vegetarian quiche

Using the Oval 1,5L Ultra Pro. 

Vegetable quiche

You’ll need

  • 500ml milk
  • 125g flour (if you are using vegetables which release more water,  tomatoes for instance, add one more full tablespoon of flour)
  • 3 eggs
  • 100g shredded parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • Butter for greasing the ultra pro
  • 300g fresh vegetables (I used mushrooms, broccoli, tomatoes, spring onion)
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Mix the milk, flour, eggs, parmesan, salt, and pepper until you have a smooth batter.
  3. Wash the veggies and cut in small pieces. Grease the Ultra pro with butter or olive oil and pour in the vegetables.
  4. Place the Ultra pro (without the lid) in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown on top. You can use a toothpick to check whether it’s fully baked in the middle.
  5. Let the quiche cool down to room temperature so it’s easier to remove it from the ultra pro.
